Our typical dry time is usually 4 to 8 hours, but dry time can be affected by the temperature and humidity inside the home. Set the temperature to 71 degrees (2) two hours before arrival. (Warmer/Cooler depending on the outside temperature to reduce dry times.) It is completely safe to walk on the carpet as long as you feel comfortable walking on a clean carpet. Shoes worn outside the home should not be worn when walking on wet carpet. Feel free to ask your service technician for complimentary shoe coverings.

We do not move furniture because we do not want to break any items in your home accidentally, nor do we want to hurt our technicians, who are professional cleaners, not professional movers. We appreciate your understanding on this matter, and ask you to find appropriate help, as needed, to prep your home. Some franchise locations do offer furniture moving for a small fee, as it requires a two-person team, whereas we most often send a single technician out to service homes. Even with the moving fee, we do not ever move certain furniture like pianos, entertainment centers, bookcases, electronics, lamps, or large beds. Your technician will do a great job cleaning up to and around any furniture pieces that have not been moved. Thankfully, the flooring under furniture doesn't usually collect as much dirt or stains.

In that case, your next carpet cleaner will most likely add a new layer of sticky soaps and detergents to your carpet, compounding the problem. What you need is to neutralize and remove the sticky residue that has been left behind. Superior Carpet & Restoration Services' carpet pre-conditioner is engineered without soaps and detergents, so we do not add to the problem. By pretreating and agitating the carpet, we start to break down the residues in your carpet. Then, by thoroughly rinsing the carpet with our patented cleaning process, we can flush out many of the existing soils and residue. Depending on the level of residue that has bonded to your carpet fibers, we may not be able to break it all down the first time we clean.

Before we arrive for your appointment, please: Move fragile or breakable items to a safe place. Vacuum to remove pet hair and larger particles of soil or food. Ensure areas to be cleaned are free from toys, books, and other items. Let us know about any special areas of concerns, like stains or pet urine. Move furniture and put dining chairs up on tabletops or otherwise out of the way.
